    Responsibilities

    The Print Designer is responsible for creating original artwork and original pattern design. This highly creative individual will work closely with the Director, Print to understand the nature and priority of the seasonal concepts. The ideal candidate is a highly creative individual who welcomes the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative team environment, and embrace change as the brand grows and develops.

     

    Essential duties and responsibilities to include:

    • Lead the original seasonal concepts relating to patterns
    • Creation of original artwork, as well as the transition of the original artwork into a print for the season
    • Collaborate with other members of the design team to ensure a cohesive product line is realized; own creation of prints regarding seasonal themes, edits to line, and new concepts.
    • Provide direction for color ways and fabric selection.
    • Collaborates with design director on the entire product design process including market research, design, and ensuring that the product meets brand aesthetic

    Qualifications

     

    • Experience creating original print for a commercial brand
    • Possess full working knowledge of raw materials.
    • Proficient in adobe illustrator, adobe photoshop, and strong painting and hand sketching ability.

    Education and experience required:

    • Bachelors degree in a related field
    • 5-10 years of experience
